Long live the King! Say welcome to the new King of streaming! This is one of the ultimate units available for ROON compatible streaming. Superb sound quality begins with a highly regulated linear power supply with large format torodial transformer bigger in size than the previous models BDP-1 and BDP-2. It has been a longstanding conviction of mine coming from the early years of Naim, Krell, NAD and Bryston’s own amplifiers and ancillaries that those units employing conventional (and often much more costly) linear power supplies, present with a truer to life character than their modern switch-mode PSU counterparts. Nowhere is it more obvious than in the BDP-range from Bryston.

We have long maintained that the Bryston BDP-1 is one of the best music file players around. Now in its 3rd generation, the BDP-3 continues with a proven recipe made to bring the best of streaming to audiophiles’ systems.

Like the legendary BDP-1, the BDP-3 is a bit perfect dedicated player for normal redbook and high resolution digital audio files. Employing a highly-customized Linux OS optimized to provide the highest quality audio performance, the BDP-3 will play high resolution audio files (up to PCM 384kHz / 32 bit and DSD128) from digital storage devices on the network or plugged into it directly without compromise. The BDP-3 features a high current linear power supply, custom Intel Celeron powered motherboard, and eight gigabytes of RAM for incredible responsiveness, ultra fast performance, and horsepower to spare for future feature additions.

Digital audio outputs are built upon Bryston’s proprietary IAD Integrated Audio Device. The AES/EBU and S/PDIF outputs are fully impedance matched and transformer coupled for the best possible digital audio transmission to the DAC of your choice. Jitter is reduced to virtually undetectable levels.

Best of all , the BDP-3 is both Tidal and Roon ready making it the ideal end-point to combine these state-of-the-art streaming services in a single user friendly package that sounds even better than it operates.
